⭐️ Introducing Rock - from my Vidor group that I'm helping an elderly gentleman with, by the name of Malcolm. His tenant died suddenly in January, rest her soul, and she left behind 11 pups she had saved. His SIL reached out to me because he was struggling physically & financially at 77 yrs old trying to care for that many dogs! I took over buying the food for them so he doesn't have to worry about that anymore.

❤️ Rock's Story ❤️

Rock's journey to rescue is one that breaks our hearts.
.
His owner was being forced to leave her home and reached out to Melinda for help with Coony, (one of the smaller dogs in the Vidor 11 who was able to find rescue placement immediately), but Rock was being left behind.
.
As Melinda drove away with Coony, Rock did something unforgettable.
.
He chased after the car.
.
When the car finally stopped, Rock ran frantic circles around it, desperately trying not to be left alone. In that moment, Melinda knew she couldn't drive away and leave him behind.

So she didn't.
.
Rock climbed into the car, and from that day forward, he's been safe with Malcolm after Melindas' passing.

Today, this handsome 3½-year-old boy is healthy, fully vetted, and ready to find the one thing he's never truly had—a family that's forever.

Rock has a wonderfully submissive, gentle personality. He absolutely loves people and craves affection. He's the kind of dog who simply wants to be near his humans and be included in whatever you're doing.

He gets along well with other dogs and has done beautifully living in a group setting. His sweet, easygoing nature makes him a joy to have around - both to humans and other dogs (and cats).

.👫🐕If you would like to meet Rock - you first have to have a pre-approved Adoption Application. Once you're approved, we can schedule a "Meet & Greet" and you can even bring any current dogs you have to meet him, also! This is a perfect opportunity to see them all interact and ask any questions you may have!

🎀 I also offer the option for you to do a "Foster-to-Adopt" (trial period). This is where you take Rock home for up to 4 weeks and see if he's a good fit with your family. If at the end of the trial period, you decide he's not going to be a perfect fit, just return him- if you decide he is the perfect fit, we celebrate with the Adoption Contract and make it official! 🎉
