About Gypsy

๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’— BEATEN DOWN BY LIFE, BUT STILL SO GENTLE ๐Ÿ’— I HAVE UNTIL 10.31.26 TO FIND GYPSY A FOSTER! - Beaumont, TX ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿ’—

SPECIAL NEEDS

Whatever she endured before coming to me, she isn't asking for much nowโ€”just safety, kindness, and eventually a loving family to call her own. ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿพ

Gypsy is a very petite-framed pit bull mix and was found wandering the streets of Orange, Texas, near the Carbon Black plant. Her beautiful white fur was stained a dirty gray, and it took several baths to finally get her white again. She IS good with other dogs, she just needs a proper introduction. I think she would fit well with the right one. A home with a current dog who is calm natured would be ideal.

๐Ÿฅน When she arrived into my rescue on September 8, 2026, she was in terrible condition:

๐Ÿพ Severely emaciated โ€” only 31 pounds
๐Ÿพ Dehydrated
๐Ÿพ Diarrhea
๐Ÿพ Hookworms
๐Ÿพ Heartworm positive and has begun treatment (my rescue will continue treatment until she tests negative
๐Ÿพ Fever of 103ยฐ
๐Ÿพ Too unhealthy at intake to safely vaccinate or spay

Three days after Gypsy was safe, she developed mastitis. She was started on an additional antibiotic on top of the medications she was already taking. Over that weekend, one of her teats ruptured from the mastitis, but thankfully it healed just fine. ๐Ÿ™
Recently, Gypsy was taken to the vet for her eyes. The vet did testing and discovered her left eye isnโ€™t producing tears and said sheโ€™ll likely need to be on eye drops permanently to help with dry eye and will have permanent scarring on it. Her right eye had an ulcer on it, which the vet is hopeful the medications will take care of. She still has full vision in both her eyes. She will need to go to a family who understands the importance of periodic vet checkups for her eyes and the vet did also say that after she completes her prescribed medications, there is an over-the-counter eye drop she would be able to use.

This little girl has been sick, but in spite of everything sheโ€™s been through and still going through, she is blossoming. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿšจ GYPSY NEEDS A FOSTER - HER TIME IN BOARDING WILL BE UP OCTOBER 30TH, AND I NEED ANOTHER PLAN FOR HER๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ™

PLEASE, if you can foster Gypsy, reach out to me. A quiet foster home where she can recover, finish gaining the weight she still needs and finally learn what it feels like to be safe is what she needs. As of right now, she is still decompressing so we would like her to go to an only dog home - or be kept separately until time for slow, proper introductions to another dog can be done.

If you would like to meet Gypsy - you first have to have a PRE-APPROVED Adoption Application. Once you're approved, we can schedule a "Meet & Greet". This is a perfect opportunity to see meet her in person and ask any questions you may have!

I also offer a "Foster-to-Adopt" (trial period) option. This is where you take Gypsy home for up to 4 weeks and see if she's a good fit with your family. If at the end of the trial period, you decide she's not going to be a perfect fit, just return her - if you decide she IS the perfect fit, we celebrate with the Adoption Contract and make it official! ๐ŸŽ‰

๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿพ Gypsy survived the streets. Now it's our job to show this gentle little girl that the rest of her life can be so much better than the beginning! ๐Ÿฉท๐Ÿพ
