🐾 FROM A SHOE TO A SECOND CHANCE — PIXIE 🩷

💔 A tiny puppy found curled up INSIDE A SHOE on someone's back porch
.
♦️ 8 weeks old
♦️ Was originally 3.6lbs and is now 4.5lbs
♦️ She's a beautiful petite, tricolor girl — chocolate, caramel and white with gorgeous green eyes.

After the bloody, foul-smelling diarrhea and skin lesions, I was very worried about what her testing would show.
.
🙏 GREAT NEWS — IT WASN'T PARVO 🙏
But this tiny baby definitely needed help. Pixie was diagnosed with
🔘Coccidia
🔘Diarreah
🔘Hookworms
🔘Dehydration
🔘Mild anemia
🔘Fleas
🔘Demodex and Sarcoptic skin infections - (she is now over all of her ailments and just needs her 2nd and 3rd round of puppy vaccinations).
🔘The vet also discovered that the opening to her left eardrum didn't fully develop and is extremely tiny, coompared to what it's supplied to be.. When she's older, they may be able to enlarge it. We don't yet know whether her hearing is affected, but she CAN hear and responds to sounds!

👫🐕If you would like to meet Pixie - you first have to have a pre-approved Adoption Application. Once you're approved, we can schedule a "Meet & Greet" and you can even bring any current dogs you have to meet her, also! This is a perfect opportunity to see them all interact and ask any questions you may have!

🎀 I also offer the option for you to do a "Foster-to-Adopt" (trial period). This is where you take Pixie home for up to 4 weeks and see if she's a good fit with your family. If at the end of the trial period, you decide she's not going to be a perfect fit, just return her- if you decide she is the perfect fit, we celebrate with the Adoption Contract and make it official! 🎉
